COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

The Blood in the Snow Film Festival welcomes you back to the Royal Cinema for our 10th year. Our first priority is the health and safety of our festival-goers, staff and volunteers. In order to enjoy this year’s selection in a safe environment, we will be in accordance with the public health guidelines as per the Covid-19 Public Health Measures and Advice.

While all recommended precautions have been taken, by attending the Blood in the Snow Festival, you assume all risks associated with contracting the Covid-19 virus at a public event. The festival, its staff and the venue will not be liable for any illness resulting in your attendance. For the most up-to-date information on public health measures, please go to Government of Ontario Capacity Limits.

Important Facts via the Government of Ontario:

“In keeping with the government’s cautious approach, effective Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., capacity limits will be lifted to allow 100 percent capacity in the following settings:
- Concert venues, theatres and cinemas;
- Spectator areas of facilities for sports and recreational fitness (would not include gyms, personal training);
- Meeting and event spaces (indoor meeting and event spaces will still need to limit capacity to the number that can maintain physical distancing); - Horseracing tracks, car racing tracks, and other similar venues; and
- Commercial film and television productions with studio audiences.”

All visitors 12 years of age and over must show proof of vaccination against Covid-19—both doses of one of Health Canada’s approved vaccines received at least 14 days prior to attending the event—to be permitted entry to the Royal Cinema.

Wearing a mask that covers the mouth, chin and nose at all times will be mandatory for all staff and guests inside the Royal Cinema as per Reg. 364/20. Removing masks for eating and drinking will be permitted. Hand sanitizers will be made available at the venue and hand washing is strongly encouraged.

The Royal Cinema will be observing physical distancing protocols in the venue.

No gathering will be permitted in the Royal Cinema lobby unless they are purchasing food and drink concessions. Please adhere to the social distancing instructions provided by the Blood in the Snow and Royal staff for lining up and gaining entry to the cinema.

The cinema seating will be at regular capacity, however, seating should be spaced out between guests where possible that comply with physical distancing protocols.

TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED ONLINE BEFORE COMING TO THE SCREENING. No tickets will be sold at the venue. Please have your tickets loaded onto your phone for entry or have a printout with you of your ticket.

Please stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, think you may have been exposed to Covid-19 or anyone who may be exhibiting symptoms of Covid 19, coughing, sneezing, or are feeling unwell.
