Blood in the Snow Film Festival

Venue: Isabel Bader Theatre

Films screen nightly Nov 17–22 with Q&As to follow.

Seating and Accessibility

  • The Isabel Bader Theatre holds 494 seats plus two wheelchair-accessible spots, barrier-free on either side of Row N (14th row from the screen).
  • Seats in this section can be removed to create more space for wheelchairs or companions.
  • Row O is step-free for guests using canes or with limited mobility.

Transportation and Venue Access

  • Accessible public transit is located within 200 m of the venue, with a step-free route to the entrance.
  • The theatre includes an accessible washroom on the main floor.
  • There is an outlet near the accessible washroom to charge mobility scooters or power wheelchairs.

Service Animals and Support Persons

  • Service animals are welcome in all public spaces. A water bowl is available at the main entrance.
  • Support person(s) accompanying a guest with a disability receive free entry to all screening events.

Weather and Transportation

Festival events take place in downtown Toronto during fall/winter weather. The theatre foyer provides ample indoor space for patrons waiting to enter screenings.

Quiet Space

A quiet sitting space is available on the 2nd floor (accessible via elevator). Water bottles will be provided.

Screenings with open captions or descriptive audio will be clearly marked on the ticketing site, festival schedule, and program booklet.

Selected screenings will feature American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and open captions on screen.

What to expect at Tranzac Club

  • The venue is used for all festival after-parties and daytime activities, including the Development Lab and the Deadly Exposure Industry Conference.
  • BITS-designated rooms are on a single floor, with two accessible washrooms.
  • Both washrooms are gender-neutral (one with urinals and stalls; one with stalls only).

Support persons

It is BITS policy that any support person(s) may attend the Deadly Exposure Industry Conference or Development Lab free of charge.
